I finally agree with Marco Rubio … and maybe Mario Diaz-Balart too

This may be the first time Sen. Marco Rubio and I stand on the same side of a political decision. Add to that the possibility that Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart may jump on board also, and I wonder if something is wrong. Or has the Holy Spirit made recent visits to South Florida?

I’m making light of a serious situation, I know, so let me get to the point. Rubio and maybe Diaz-Balart have indicated they will probably vote against authorizing a military strike against Syria. If true, my hat is off to them. We finally agree on something.

In favor of the strike are Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Sen. Bill Nelson, and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

We have yet to hear from Representatives Joe Garcia and Frederica Wilson.
