Ted Cruz’s citizenship

It turns out Ted Cruz is neither Cuban American nor is he Canadian – where he was born. Nope, Ted [our own version of Attila the (fill in the blank)] is all-American. At least it’s what he wants us to know, or think, currently.

That’s except when it’s convenient that people know his Cuban side. Like, for example, when he’s fund raising amongst the Calle Ocho, Versailles crowd. Then he’s a bull-headed [Attila the (fill in the blank)] Cuban whose parents suffered from Castro persecution. Of course, we’re still trying to figure out when that persecution took place since his parents had already left Cuba before Castro made it to power. Or is it that he doesn’t want to offend followers of the Cuban strongman in power before Castro? Maybe the real persecutor … in his family’s case.

Well, it’s that group that raises big money for him in Miami, so I can see Ted [Attila the (fill in the blank)] letting bygones be bygones…

In my case, I’d call him an opportunist and dangerous cartoon character. Fodder for comedians everywhere.
