Who looks like a stuffed turkey in the picture?

Take a look at the photograph on top that recently appeared in the Miami Herald. Up front you have U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo, Republican from District 26, who has a tough race in November in a redrawn district (by the Florida Supreme Court that found the old one, drawn by Republicans in Tallahassee, unconstitutional) that now favors Democrats. Curbelo will face the winner of the Democratic Party primary between Annette Taddeo and Joe Garcia.

If you’ve had the chance to follow Curbelo’s footsteps lately he’s made a pretty wide turn to the left – you’d think he was a Democrat. I guess he feels it’s the only way he’s going to win in that district.

The young man is a skilled politician. This should be a good race.

But back to the photo. In back of Curbelo you have Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, running for Marco Rubio’s seat in the U.S. Senate. You’d think they were twins (Lopez-Cantera and Rubio, I mean). He’s made more turns than an out of control car. Lopez-Cantera now favors Trump, before he didn’t. He also favors Trump’s wall (to keep out Mexicans), another sudden change. Who knows how many twists and turns he’ll make before this race is over.

In the middle of the picture, in back, is Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and to Tomasito’s left is none other than… drum roll, please.

It’s Lincoln Diaz-Balart.

Anyway, have they not informed Mr. Diaz-Balart that he is NO longer a member of congress, or for that matter, an elected official? He quit the job back in (I can’t even remember the date, but sources say he had to quit or face the Feds), yet, whenever Miami Republicans turn out he seems to still want to lead the charge and steal the scene – I guess that’s why he puffs out his chest. (You can breathe now, Lincoln.) Ileana should slap him and tell him she’s currently in charge.

What’s with the hyphenated last names?
