Stackhouse is in jail — now it’s time to look at the politicians involved

There is good news. Boston developer Dennis Stackhouse, accused of stealing nearly $1 million from a proposed taxpayer-supported biopharmaceutical park intended to revitalize Liberty City in Miami, is now in jail. We will see what develops from here.Fernandez Rundle

If you’ll remember, Stackhouse is the louse who waltzed into town and hired a former member of congress to serve as his lobbyist and PR arm. He also showered some of our politicians (mostly on the county side) with campaign donations. For years the project was supposed to be built creating jobs in Liberty City… The only ones who profited with the public’s money, though, was this Boston swindler along with his hand-picked politicians.

Kudos to Miami-Dade State Attorney Kathy Fernandez Rundle for throwing this bum in jail. At the same time I’ve often questioned, and wondered about, Ms. Fernandez Rundle’s lack of enthusiasm when chasing politician crooks.

I am not accusing any politician of being a crook in this case (yet…) but gosh, since day one I found their involvement mysterious. In other words, what I’m trying to say is that the county and federal governments were giving away millions and nothing got done in Liberty City where that money was destined for. And nobody noticed?!

It’s time to investigate the politicians involved in this too!
