Yadira Escobar interviews Maria Rodriguez, executive director of the Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC). Maria has worked to defend basic human rights of low-income and migrant peoples for 25 years. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she was active in the anti-apartheid and Central America solidarity movements. The Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) is a statewide coalition of more than 30 member organizations and over 100 allies, founded in 1998 and formally incorporated in 2004.
