Ros-Lehtinen: Doing business with Cuba
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, as a member of the U.S. Congress, was known for her fierce and unwavering opposition to the Castro government in Cuba. She retired last year and is now a highly paid lobbyist and senior adviser for Akin Gump, Washington’s biggest lobbying firm, who happens to do business with Cuba.
We checked the Akin Gump website and looked up Ms. Ros-Lehtinen. After reading her lengthy biography on the website we found it odd that Ileanita (as she is known to many in Miami) had left out any mention of Cuba —the issue she seemed most passionate about during her almost 30 years in the House of Representatives.
Interesting how things change in the world of Miami-U.S.-Cuba politics when there is money (big money) involved.
