New layout and design for Progreso Weekly
Progreso Weekly, as you will note, has made changes to its layout and design. Although maintaining the magazine’s integrity and unique look, the magazine has further modernized and facilitated the readers’ travel through its pages.
“Our aim is to keep perfecting our product while adding more and better information and still delivering the best assessment of what occurs in our world,” said Alvaro F. Fernandez, Progreso Weekly editor. “Our new design, although it looks similar to the one we recently replaced, has a better flow to it and makes it easier to read and better capture all the information we offer.”
For starters, right below the masthead, readers will have easy access to Progreso’s blogs and the different Progreso Weekly sections. And right below that, there is a section that allows Progreso staff to offer news as it occurs. We’ve become accustomed to this from Progreso Semanal’s Cuban Radar column, now we have added it to Progreso Weekly and its Late Breaking News updates.
Many of our readers often ask how we’re doing. Are people reading the magazine. Just to give you an idea, we received almost 2 million hits during the month of April. The new Progreso Weekly will allow you to see how many hits it receives with our section on statistics at the bottom of the page. Also, you will be able to count the number of readers each Progreso Weekly article receives.
Finally, we take this opportunity to thank our readers and many supporters. We also ask that you help us. If you find a problem with our new design, or something that may malfunction, please let us know. We value your input and suggestions.
