Cuba’s Emphasis on Preventive Medicine

According to an exclusive interview with  ABC News within the hour the Senate Democrats and Republicans have struck a deal to secure passage of a bill to provide health benefits and compensation to 9/11 first responders, said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-OK.

While we await a confirmation of this hopeful deal struck on the 9/11 Health benefits and Compensation Act, I wanted to share this PBS NewsHour special global health series on Cuba’s healthcare system– “Cuba’s Emphasis on Preventive Medicine” with an interview with International Director of MEDICC, Gail Reed.

We have much learn from Cuba when it comes to health.
