Cuba: Comicios para la Asamblea Legislativa (+English)

La presidenta del Consejo Electoral Nacional (CEN), Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, dio a conocer los resultados preliminares de la cita electoral celebrada el domingo 26 de marzo, que fueron los siguientes:  

Padrón electoral: 8 120 072

Votaron: 6 164 876 (75.92% del padrón electoral)

Válidos:  90, 28% 

Votos en blanco: 6, 22% 

Boletas anuladas:3.50% 

Los datos oficiales no indican que la cifra de abstención alcanza el 24% de los cubanos con derecho a votar. 

Estos comicios muestran una baja en la participación con relación a las elecciones para la Asamblea Nacional de 2018 donde se registró el 82,90% de participación — una diferencia de 7,0%.

Cuba: Elections held for the Legislative Assembly

Cuba’s president of the National Electoral Council (CEN), Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, announced the preliminary results of the legislative elections held Sunday, March 26, which were the following:

Registered voters: 8,120,072

Voted: 6,164,876 (75.92% of the electoral roll)

Valid votes: 90.28%

Blank votes: 6.22%

Canceled votes: 3.50%

Official data does not indicate that the abstention figure reached 24% of Cubans with the right to vote. These elections show a drop in participation in relation to the 2018 National Assembly elections where 82.90% of possible voters participated — a difference of 7% compared to 2018.
