Blue Diamond is reopening 8 Cuba resorts in December
Canadian hotel company Blue Diamond is opening eight resorts in Cuba in December, Caribbean Journal has learned.
On Dec. 20, the company will relaunch the Starfish Cayo Guillermo; Grand Memories Santa Maria; Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria; Memories Paraiso; Starfish Cayo Santa Maria; Starfish Montehabana; Starfish Cuatro Palmas and Starfish Las Palmas.
The company’s Cuba portfolio includes properties in Cayo Coco; Cayo Santa Maria; Havana; Trinidad and Varadero.
The company has already reopened 11 of its resorts in Cuba; another property, Memories Trinidad Del Mar, will reopen on Nov. 25.
The company is reopening all of its Cuba properties under its new “Safety-Assured Vacations” protocols, which include physical distancing, “advanced dining safety” and increased staff training, among others.
Blue Diamond has 44 resort properties across the wider Caribbean region.
