Back to the future: Cars for sale in Cuba
The Cuban website www.revolico.com is already filling with offers of vintage cars for sale. Here are some of the items. Remember that 1 CUC (one convertible peso) is equal to $1 (one U.S. dollar.)
* 1957 Buick Special “in perfect condition,” four doors, no column. It has a Fiat-Iveco engine, a new Toyota gearbox, new tires, new belts, original lights. Asking 30,000 CUC or best offer. Contact by phone in Artemisa or West Palm Beach, Fla.
* 1950 Buick with a Perkins engine, a Hyundai gearbox, a Toyota differential, a Toyota pump, 5 new tires, a Hyundai dashboard. Also, various replacement parts. Asking 9,500 CUC for the package.
* 1948 Oldsmobile with a Perkins engine, an Oldsmobile differential. Asking 8,500 CUC.
* 1950 Ford in good condition, with a Nissan diesel engine, brake pads. Paint and upholstery in perfect condition. For sale or trade.
* 1956 Chevrolet Belair “in superb condition, worthy of a collector.” Sells direct, not through intermediary. Price is 35,000, NOT NEGOTIABLE.
