An interview with Gov. Richardson about his recent trip to Cuba.

While in Santa Fe, New Mexico for a Montoya family reunion (my mom’s side) and to celebrate Santa Fe’s 298th year of historical La Fiesta, I was able to discuss with Governor Richardson about his most recent trip to Cuba. We both agreed that New Mexico and Cuba share a lot of cultural and historical connections. Both sharing beautiful lands, history, people, and culture. The Governor was pleased to hear that a “New Mexican” is working in Washington on this issue of U.S.-Cuba relations, one dear to him too.

The question still remains when will President Obama announce something regarding expanding travel to Cuba?
