All they want for Xmas and the New Year is for the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act to pass today
All they want for Xmas and the New Year is for the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act to pass today in the Senate.
Today the Senate will take up a bill that would provide $6.2 billion in compensation and long-term health-care benefits for first responders who became ill from working at Ground Zero in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001.
Can you believe that for nine-years, I repeat (9) years later and still this bill’s future remains uncertain? Why because of a lone senator, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), who happens to be a doctor has threatened to prevent the measure from reaching the Senate floor.
Watch and learn more about the bill and the impact it would have directly for those that first responded to 9/11. See below.
