Human Rights
By Yadira Escobar
– The society that puts too much confidence in the market to solve all human problems is doomed to be destroyed by the forces of capitalism without moral restraint.
– The mistreatment of the elderly by soulless, profit institutions may be one of the greatest human rights’ violations.
– In the society in which I live the human rights of other social groups such as immigrants, ex prisoners, unemployed farm workers (sick and without social security), those without a driver’s license because of “monetary civil claims” (organized crime by associations of lawyers), well the list is so long that I do not want to seem subversive, and I should stop. Human rights are violated everywhere, but the worst impunity may originate in places that proclaim themselves as blameless sites respect for them.
