Another floating electric power plant has arrived in Havana. With this there are already 8 that are on the island.
According to a report from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), it has a capacity of 240 MWS and was contracted to the Turkish company Karadeniz Powership.

La crisis del sistema energético que ha sumido a los cubanos en largos y diarios apagones de entre 10 y 12 horas, atenuados en los últimos tiempos. La crisis se debe, entre otros factores, a la sobreexplotación de la mayoría de las centrales termoeléctricas. El contrato es por 17 años, pero la cifra no es de dominio público.
Si bien todo lo que logre estabilizar la energía eléctrica en el país satisface a los ciudadanos, no son pocos los que se cuestionan por qué las autoridades aguardaron estar al borde del colapso energético “para entonces mandarse a correr y encontrar las divisas que antes no había”, opinión de Rafael Fernández, mientras hacía cola para comprar en la tienda de 5ta y 42 del municipio capitalino de Playa.
