So much for a landslide. Mitt Romney is leading the president 49 to 47 percent after Wednesday’s Denver debate, according to a Rasmussen poll. The results, the first full post-debate survey, are based on nightly interviews and a three day “rolling-average basis.” The polling company said it can’t predict whether this is just a temporary boost for Mitt. In the eleven swing states, the news isn’t much better for Obama: while he’s still ahead, Romney is closing the gap and only trails Obama 47 to 49 percent—though these numbers were tallied before the presidential debate. Scott Rasmussen did note that incumbent president don’t usually do that hot in their first debates.
