Director of the Granma newspaper is dismissed
HAVANA – Pelayo Terry Cuervo has been dismissed as director of the newspaper Granma, official communications organ of the Communist Party of Cuba. The announcement was made by means of a brief informative note of scarcely 50 words.
According to that note, the reasons are summarized as “errors committed in the fulfillment of his responsibilities”. At the same time it was announced that “Until the new director is appointed, current deputy director Oscar Sánchez Serra assumes these functions.”
