ORLANDO, FL – OCTOBER 18:
From left to right, Mi Familia Vota Canvassers, Soraya Marquez, Diana Orjuela, Liliana Cruz, Yadiel Reyes, and Luis Rojas Acevedo look at their route plan to see which way to walk. The Mi Familia Vota workers knocked on doors in the Lake Baldwin neighborhood of Orlando. They are making sure eligible people are registered to vote and have transportation to the polls. Mi Familia Vota is a national organization working to unite the Latino community and its allies to ensure social and economic justice through increased civic participation. Currently, they have offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada and Texas. The Latino vote could be decisive in swing states such as Florida. The majority of the large Puerto Rican community in Orlando, Florida seems to favor Obama.
