Getting ready for today

It’s five o’clock. The sun is hard on the skin. Sweat is not a trickle, but countless and large drops. But nothing can stop the preparations for what will happen tomorrow (Friday). TV channels from all over the world will transmit that moment when the U.S flag is raised on its mast.

At least 500 correspondents, and TV networks from virtually every continent, are preparing for tomorrow. But this moment, measurable in hours of work and unbearable sweat, belongs to the technicians who are setting up cables, cameras, lights, and microphones.

Progreso Weekly toured the surrounding of the U.S. embassy and its gardens. Here are the photos of what is to come.
