Fight for $15

“I’ve worked at McDonald’s for 5 years – and still make just about $250 a week (and that’s more than many of my co-workers),” says Adriana Alvarez, a worker in a Chicago McDonald’s.

“I can’t afford to pay for child care for my son, my rent, and my bills on fast food pay. That’s why I’m fighting for $15 and union rights,” she adds.

On May 21, the Fight for $15 campaign will take their message to McDonald’s HQ at their annual shareholder meeting in Chicago. It is time for McDonald’s to do the right thing for workers.
