A new Progreso Weekly/Semanal
If you’ve visited Progreso Weekly and Semanal this week you’ve noticed we’ve changed our look. We hope you like it. Part of the plan is to bring you more updated information on a daily basis.
We are still a weekly, bilingual magazine. We specialize in information emanating from Cuba. But our hope is to bring you more updated news as it develops. And not have you wait until Thursday, when it may have grown stale, to read it. Still, every Thursday we will be changing our lead stories, some as you know by now, that delve deeper into subjects of interest to all of us.
Please take note that you may have to make Progreso Weekly and Semanal a daily habit (if it’s not already) as you will see that at the top of the page we have a section with four different articles are constantly changing.
As for our blogs, you’ll be able to know what’s inside by our headlines in the front page. If a subject matter interests you, click on the headline and start reading. Or you may just want to visit the blog to see the wide variety of articles and commentaries posted over time.
Don’t forget that RPA is producing videos and radio podcasts that can be watched or listened to at your convenience. Just click on the big blue icon in the middle of the page. And you are still able to listen to Edmundo Garcia and Francisco Aruca daily by clicking on their radio show, “La Tarde Se Mueve.”
We are still working and perfecting our video output, but please notice that we now offer you an array of videos to watch during the week. We will soon be jumping-in more fully into the world of Facebook and Twitter – give us some time. We are very few doing the job of many.
Make sure to check out the caricatures in the middle of the front page and take a trip around our galleries which offer many and varied caricatures from past weeks. Don’t miss it; if nothing else, it’s a very attractive addition to Progreso.
Finally, there are dozens of other things we could direct you to. But we ask you to play around, navigate the page and check out the many features and additions Progreso Weekly and Semanal offer our readers.
One last thing, we will continue to polish our product as time goes by. So expect an excellent website to get even better. We hope to see you daily now as we deal with issues that affect many of us who live in Havana, Miami, Washington, Latin America, South America, Europe, the Middle East… well, the world.
Thanks for spending time with us.
