Miami’s ‘Dirty Ana’ still on the run

“Politics is rough and I play like it.” – Ana Alliegro

I am not exactly sure what Ana Alliegro meant by those words. But the more I read about the self-proclaimed “Republican Bad Girl,” the more I am convinced that David Rivera is sweating bricks. Because all evidence points to the fact that Alliegro makes Dirty Harry, the character in the old Clint Eastwood movie, look tame.

Two weeks after a strange disappearance Alliegro is still missing. Initially her mother, Guedy, told The Miami Herald that her daughter was fine, but said she didn’t know where she was. This past week Guedy’s tone seems to have changed. In another Herald article it was reported “that she has not heard from her daughter in two weeks and neither have other family members.” And Guedy was later quoted as saying, “I am worried. I know she is resting. We are praying for her.”

Alliegro is an important piece in a federal investigation into the Justin Lamar Sternad campaign. Sternad ran this past summer in Florida’s 26th congressional district in a bitter primary election won by Democrat Joe Garcia. The investigation is focused on tens of thousands of dollars, in cash, funneled into the Sternad campaign. Evidence seems to point to U.S. Rep. David Rivera as the source of the money.

The “Bad Girl’s” involvement? She served as Sternad’s campaign consultant. Strange considering she boasts of being a badass republican, was not paid for her work (at least it did not appear in campaign records), and with Sternad, she ran a democrat’s race.

As for her work with politicians? Alliegro has worked for, married, been a girlfriend of, and has had troubles, fights, shootouts and romances with all sorts. Including a who’s who of politicians in Miami. She has also run for political office, where’s she’s lost and gotten in trouble for her campaign finances.

The Miami Herald is also reporting that Alliegro recently spent time in jail for an old warrant for driving with a suspended license. It wasn’t her first time behind bars. In 2009, she landed in jail for shoplifting $30 sandals.

Obviously, Alliegro travels to the beat of her own drum. And men who have dealt with her, on a personal level, know it. And at least two, as reported by The Herald, appear to fear her. Poor David…

It’s black humor, I understand, but I find it hilarious. Although, I must admit, I’d hate to be in the middle of this. Especially with ‘Dirty Ana’ playing the role of bandolera.

A long and dirty trail…

Alliegro was arrested for a dispute with an ex-husband by the name of Moshe Cosicher in 2007, according to The Miami Herald. ‘Dirty Ana’ insisted she hadn’t had enough of Moshe and wanted to remarry him. Moshe wasn’t convinced. Alliegro insisted. And I quote from the Herald story: “…she grabbed a gun, then sat naked at a desk with her leg up and compared the gun to a male sexual organ.

“If you think your [expletive] is powerful (showing the gun), this is mine,” Alliegro told Cosicher.

Apparently, the bad girl later took a couple of shots at her ex, one that flew right by his ear…

Then there’s the story with another ex husband, former Miami Mayor Joe Carollo. That marriage lasted all of 83 days. Carollo, who as mayor was dubbed “Crazy Joe” and who had served as a Miami police officer, filed for divorce, because as the Herald tells us, “he feared Alliegro.”

The truth, as they say, is oftentimes stranger than fiction.

In the end, Alliegro is still missing. Rumors are flying all over town.

The FBI has her in hiding, some claim.

If the FBI has to hide this badass mama, then whom is she running from and what is she hiding?

Let me get back to Dirty Harry and Clint Eastwood. Can’t help it. I know it’s cliché, but I’d point the gun at David Rivera and say, “Go on David… make my day.”

For the good of everyone involved, it’s time David Rivera turned himself in and allow ‘Dirty Ana’ to come out of hiding and continue her mad chase of ex husbands.
