Hard facts website — How the Pentagon blows our tax $$

Occasionally one runs into a website or blog that is worth looking at, reading, studying and learning from. A friend sent me this one. It’s almost impossible to read everything it publishes — with all the information it provides. After you read some of the stuff it provide, you’re bound to worry even more about our state of affairs. As if we need more to stress over…

The blog’s name is “Pentagon Finances = No Accountability” and it deals with “news and analysis on how the Pentagon misuses our tax dollars.”

You can read articles such as what follows:

“On Monday, President Barack Obama asked Congress to approve $708 billion in defense spending for fiscal 2011, including a 3.4 percent rise in the Pentagon’s base budget plus billions more to fund U.S. military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.” (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6125US20100203?type=globalMarketsNews)

“In the midst of two wars and the fight against Al Qaeda, the CIA is offering operatives a chance to peddle their expertise to private companies on the side — a policy that gives financial firms and hedge funds access to the nation’s top-level intelligence talent, POLITICO has learned.” (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/32290.html#ixzz0eg29ryIy)

I understand you’ll find the information disturbing. But the fact is that not enough of us are aware that much of this is going on… We might imagine it, but, this gives us the facts and figures to go after it in the real world.
